Manganari

In the south part of the island and 23 km away from the center is located the Manganari's beach. In fact, this enchanting bay is divided into five consequent beaches and gulfs with shallow, cristalline emerald waters. This place is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. In additional, it provides watersports facilities for endless hours of fun.Along the beach there are taverns, where you can taste fresh fish and local dishes. During your stay there don't miss to visit the byzantine monastery of Saint Ioannis near the beach of Kalamos. We have to mention that in Manganari was shot the movie "Infinite Blue". There are buses that leave from the port, Chora and Mylopotas, as well as taxi-boats from Gialos.
